I read through most of your comic's backlog from the beginning last night, and omfg it's bananas how much more mature and well-rounded it's become over the years. The glimpses into the trio's youth, the reasons why Diego turned into the person he is, and the quiet little moments are some of my favorite parts. There's even a subtle yellow tone over the flashbacks that isn't there throughout the rest of the comic. I was in 6th grade when this strip takes place, but my spouse was the same age as the trio here.
